Managing Water Level for Large Migratory Fish at the Poyang Lake Outlet: Implications Based on Habitat Suitability and Connectivity

River–lake interaction is important for maintaining biodiversity, yet it vulnerable to hydrological alteration. The connectivity of the channel connecting Poyang Lake and Yangtze River not only ensures regular migration fish but also makes a feeding fattening ground them. Unfortunately, human activities have dramatically changed hydrodynamic conditions Lake, which experiencing severe drought due obvious decline in water level autumn winter, especially since 2003. However, possible impacts changes on habitats migratory remain unclear limitation traditional techniques spatiotemporal analysis.
